This comic follows the adventures of Dirk Americano, freelance coffee buyer, as he attempts to create the perfect brew in time for the Bean of Excellence Competition. A few talented artist friends, like the unsinkable La Nina, joined in (for varying values of “a month”) and the end result was the Month in Comics, one impressive Flickr group indeed. K and I have now printed up our months of mostly-diaristic strips for this year’s Portland Zine Symposium. Maybe we’ll see you there? (We’ll be tabling with Nina, who’ll have her Month strips in zine form too, and we may even be neighbors with Virginia Milkyboots!)
